I've been hearing "talk" of that ever since I first got on campus in 2007.

I also heard that a lot of universities don't allow Freshman parking on campus.

My worst was a fat count who gave me a boot for parking in the Handicapped parking above Compton. Yeah, tons of people in wheelchairs are parking on top of a hill that goes down at a 45 degree angle and is half a mile from the closest classroom. Have to say I used some colorful words with her when she came back to remove the boot.

Honestly, that should happen. That would solve every parking problem on campus to not allow freshmen to have cars. If they want their cars, give them a giant lot in NW Oxford where the University has a few thousand acres that doesn't do anything for them.

Look how much freshman enrollment has gone up since then. They're going to have to do something soon.

There is plenty of spaces to build more parking. It can be done.

And I've been to a bunch of campuses for games and other events. Those campuses had free parking lots/garages for games. I think Ole Miss should re-evaluate the whole parking pass thing. There needs to be at least a couple lots reserved just for free parking on gameday. And allow people to park down Intramural Rd. Which is similar to Wire Rd at Auburn. You could still sell passes for other lots. I'd like to see it reworked. The Parking Deck will help once it is done next season. I'd put a lot on Old Taylor right around that back entrance to campus. Have it hidden by the trees on that road. Wouldn't be a bad spot. There is an area behind the Track facility that could have a lot placed. And I would put a lot in between Campus Walk Apts and campus.
