I'm sure it will be one of the last things removed, we will still have recruits on campus until January 29 th we aren't taking out the field before them. It's a mindset thing.

The construction will show progress on the stadium.but a gutted field is hard to picture yourself on

I hear if you dig up the fake turf, Rex Grossman's body still has an impression left in the dirt from 2002. Any truth to that rumor?

Damn, that dude sitting at midcourt in the first pic must be really jazzed for the first game if he is already in his seat.

Can anyone tell me why the hell we made the south endzone exterior so nice when NO ONE sees it?

But why couldn't we have just done that in the NEZ to begin with?

Because building out the NEZ like the SEZ will pretty much require us to demolish the Starnes/fedex which the school doesn't want to do.

Update on the NEZ at the State championship:

Gonna miss the NEZ seats. I actually like sitting there. My wife and I sat there for the LSU game in 2013 and the Bama game 2014. It was priceless being around a bunch of opposing fans yelling we just beat the hell outta you..

I liked the view cause you could see the play develop and see what the qb was seeing.

Gonna be the student section now right?

May have to move to the SEZ now.

My wife is 4-0 in games she has attended. LSU 2013, Bama 2014, first game this year and LSU this year. Lol

I don't know what others think, but putting the student section that close to the grove is dangerous.

Curious to see how many students will leak out during the game compared to past years

Will work both ways I would imagine. Will definitely fill up earlier and may stay full longer. Walking all the way to the SEZ while really drunk is tiresome.

Is there anything to improve acoustics?

Don't we have a really good physical acoustics department? Why not get those guys to work with us on that?

We would just need awnings to reflect the sound back towards the playing surface.

The stadium itself would need to go upwards instead of spread out if designing an entirely new stadium. And move seats closer to field

Or, hear me out, we could use artificial noise makers and call it tradition?
