Overall we played pretty bad and flat tonight, but I think there were some bright spots.

1. Our starters had them 24-0 in the second quarter. When our major starters were taken out, we were up 24-0, so they definitely did their jobs.

2. Robert Nkemdiche grew up tonight. I think he finished with 3 TFL and made a couple hustle plays where he got past double teams and made the tackle.

3. Most importantly, we got experience from 3rd and even 4th string guys in some cases, and didnt have any injuries. That's a huge plus with Texas coming up next week.

I wasn't too pleased with the effort of the team, especially since Freeze preaches effort. In the end it goes down as a W and we are 2-0 once again heading into Texas next week.

The staff thinks he has all the talent he just needs to grow

What's going on in our secondary. I know Charles sawyer didn't start but our secondary looked like it never played football before.

Secondary is the worst I've seen in a long time. I think it's a combination of coaching and talent. D line has to improve with pressuring qb

Yea our d-line is nothing like it was last year. Robert has been pretty good. You can tell C.J. is no where near 100%. And I can't tell you who the dts are besides woody and gross. However I was impressed with Bryant taking the place of Denzel. Thought he made some good tackles.

Bird had something like 14 tackles tonight. He knows how to find the ball.

Yeah Bryant played damn good. He was the most active defensive player and looked like he was excited to be playing. Radio broadcast had him at 15 tackles

The Vandy game the gameplan was to make ACS beat us with his arm. They know that he could run. So it wasn't very aggressive as far as blitz packages.

Now with the game yesterday that QB wasn't throwing 20 yard post routes. Its hard to get to a QB running a option offense and a occasional quick pass.

The DL is fine. The issue is the secondary. Our two starters aren't healthy and our backups are trash.

I think it's more of a talent and technique issue... If we pull Webster and Knight comes in ready to play I look for them to jump ahead of AS on the depth chart immediately.

They've also said that he has been in position countless times he just can't finish off the play... They think he has lost confidence....he is long through and I agree I think Webster jumps him immediately
