I don't like the rest of the schedule though. Going back to T-Town, scheduling LSU for mid-October, 1 home game till mid-October, and the last 7 games in the state of MS. Just a weird schedule to me.

Agreed.

Dont want to jinx it but this looks like our best chance to be 1-0 in the SEC in 10 years... /MoaralVictory'd

I hope you're right. We don't need to go to Texas with those three SEC road games to start the season.

I hope we don't drop the game. I think we can beat Texas. Can't be scared to play a team. It would be great for recruiting to play in the state of Texas. We could very well beat them next year in Austin. I don't want to schedule a bunch of cupcakes. I want to earn a spot in the bowl selections. Don't want to be like State and rely on cupcakes just so we can get in a bowl.

That Texas game is the one game I plan on going to next year. Just don't see Ole Miss buying it out. That's a big game for the team. Players would be disappointed not to go.

ETA: per Neal McCready: Ole Miss will not buy its way out of that game, per sources. It's cost-prohibitive. That said, look for that to be the final major non-conference foe the Rebels play for awhile.

This schedule fricking blows. We start off with Vanderbelt, and we have LSU in mid-October? At least put it on Halloween like it used to be. And we're at Bama again, as if we have enough problems with them when we play them at home.

Then we have 6 home games in a row, which is a bad thing. People are going to get sick of going to the Grove every single week. Every other week is usually pretty good for the Grove. And November blows chunks as a whole because no one is going to give a shite about Troy or Mizzou. Granted the schedule isn't overly difficult, but I just hate the layout of it.

The faggles are coming to town again? Awesome.

Yeah, I was highly disappointed by their crop this year. Saw one smoking hot chick from there... and that's it.

Thought this was pretty badass. Students are going to be in heaven with parties every single weekend. Also our last 7 games are all in the state of MS. Hard the beat that if you are trying to get hot at the right time and not worrying about long travel games to tough venues.

Yeah...if our fans get tired of going to Oxford every weekend...then we really do have the worse fanbase in America. Having 6 games in a row at home....on the back half of the season is GREAT!!

Yeah especially since the aTm game is back home heard rumors of it being held in Reliant Stadium due to renivations going on with Kyle Field ... would be really upset if we lost the Texas game as well
