Advice on possible before school trip

So, a few of my buds and I are looking at making one more road trip in August before the semester starts. We've narrowed things down to a few choices, one of which is Oxford. How fun would a weekend trip in August be? I've been before with my family but never to go out and do whatever. Especially before school starts. Thanks.

August will be around when everyone is getting back so the bars and all that will be good, especially at a "popular" place like the corner or the levee. But it also won't be too overcrowded like it can be on some weekends (like the library on game weekends).

Thanks. Most people I know move back a week to two weeks before the semester so we figure it should e crowded enough.

Yeah it would be cool during that time. I much prefer during the summer before the freshmen get back
