I mean, it's only logical that even if nothing comes of this, it's cannon fodder for other coaches to spin to moms and dads of guys we're recruiting.
We're not Bama. We're not Auburn. We're not even Miami.
We can't out recruit bad pub based on our brand.

I'm not so much worried about recruiting but moreso about where these guys heads are. I once turned 21. I got destroyed as well. I however knew the cut off so I didnt get arrested. I know everyone wants to play this kinda stuff down as just kids being kids but at no point did it cross Denzel mind hey I might need to chill out before I get arrested. Did none of his teammates have the ability to say this is getting out of hand???
Maybe I'm just the old guy speaking as the old guy. But I just feel if you got something riding on how you act I would assume you'd do everything to keep from being placed in that situation.
Then to follow with the stupid tweet as if you did nothing wrong. I just dont get it. I'm sure some of you wont agree, but I thought this kid was more of a leader.

Only with other teams using it negatively against us. That happens anyway though. Honestly the Meredith statue fiasco is much worse publicity wise because reinforces a pre existing stereotype.

Perception is reality. If some random people from Georgia drove all the way here to do that and have zero affiliation with the university then it will still be perceived the same way nationally if the kid was an OM student.

Exactly. I've seen plenty of "that's just Ole Miss" posts on social media. Ironically the same broad brush stereotyping that people accuse OM people of doing.
