These kids have to know if their grades are crap, they won't get to play. I'll never understand a high school football player with D1 dreams not working to make sure his grades are in order.

They were so bad that he got his GED and is now in Juco instead of trying to get them up. The only good thing is now he can graduate in 1.5 years from Juco and go on to a College with 4 years to play 3.

These kids don't actually realize they are going to go D1 early on. 9th and 10th grade they screw around then late 11th grade and in some cases 12th grade they try to get serious and the grade issue is entirely too deep. You cant fix two to three years of bad grades in two semesters.

Everyone is sleeping on this class because it doesn't have the "star" power. We have 1 5* player and 10 4* guys. 10!!!! Not to mention Epps will is a 4 star and we will probably finish with four or five more five star or higher guys.

I predicted before the season that we would have 16 four star players and a 9-12 ranked recruiting class. It appears I'll be pretty close.

This class however is what you NEED. A deep class that serves as the depth of the team. You don't have team full of stars. Some of Bama biggest stars were three star players. You need a few playmakers like we got last year and then solid classes moving forward. This is a GREAT class. Deeper than last year IMO.

LSU had 16 four stars and zero five stars last year IIRC. People overreact sometimes.

ETA: 19 four stars but you get what I'm saying

You think we catch 3-4 more 5*? I don't see that happening.

Pretty sure he meant 4* or higher and his fingers got ahead of his brain.

Always look at offers over stars and if Saban wants them and other SEC are battling for them. We are winning battles and I could careless if it is 3,4, or 5 stars at this point because we have so few spots left. You can be damned sure if they get an offer this late they are a Star.

I was speaking in generalities. Also we aren't getting 3-4 more 5* but I'm sure he meant 4. We could conceivably have 14-16 four stars and one five star which makes me smile.
