Changing the subject a little bit, but have yall thought about how perfect Tony Connor would be for that Husky spot? (My brother and I were talking about potential defenses the next 2 years)
It is mainly a guy who covers the slot in man and is essentially a nickle back. He obviously has to help in run becuase he will be closer to the line than any other DB. I think he would kill it there. Not to mention we could move Standifer to CB to add even more depth if needed. More than likely we will need 2 quality player at every postion anyway due to offenseive pace.
I think he is a huge need for this class, becuase of his position and the fact he is the top recruit in our home state. I know he is pretty much ours but I'm ready for him to say this publically.

Yeah he is the type of player that could be great in the Husky. If he redshirts, I could easily see him getting some playing time there if he adds on a little weight. If he plays as a true freshman, I think Freeze keeps him at thesaftey position, maybe even a little time at CB.
Also, wait till the all-american game on the 4th... Could be a big day for us rebels.

I agree, I don't think he will redshirt either, but without a redshirt im not sure he would end up at the husky position.
Prewitt could make the move though...
I wouldnt mind our top two safteys being Elston and TC in a few years, that would be one great secondary

Freeze proved that he is a great recruiter with how he was able to salvage last years class... I have faith in him to bring this one home with a great recruiting class.
Hopefully the WAOM moments will continue to only be in basketball haha.

They trust Prewitt too much at FS to move him. Elston is locked in at SS too. I think Chief will become the permanent backup FS and TC will either battle Elston for SS or battle Standifer for Husky.

Nkemdichie didn't play husky the ladder half of the year. Standifer did. DN played LB. The husky spot is really more of a CB/FS hybrid than a SS/ LB hybrid. That's why TC is perfect for it. Our defense really is a 4-2-5.

True... I know TC can cover the pass very well, but idk if he can step up againt the run well (not questioning his talent, i just havnt seen too much film on him so i honestly have no idea if he is good against the run or not).
Regardles, I'm sure Freeze and Wommack will figure out how to get him onto the field.
Next season should be very interesting and a lot of fun
