2008 - Oher, Jerry, Jerry and Hardy; Dexter; Wallace

2015 - The 3, plus Conner; question for me is will Swag play on the regular on the Sabbath.

2008 wins.

Yeah 2015 was a great team, but that defense from 2008 was crazy. It was stacked like a Big Mac.

2008 is the slightly better team no doubt. Towards the end of the season they were playing like a Top 3 ish team.

The Wake Forest loss wasn't a bad loss either - they were ranked #20 at the time and we lost on a long last second FG.

2015 team was too inconsistent.

08 lost to Vanderbilt, beat the national champs, then came home and lost to South Carolina

08 team lost 4 games by a total of 19 points. We got bitch slapped twice this season.

I'm not arguing that. I think it's a very intriguing matchup.

What do y'all think the spread would be?

I'm thinking OM15 -1.5

Play it in the Vaught? Neutral site...

Vanderbilt and South Carolina were decent teams those years, both went bowling.

The 2008 team wasn't ready to run the table - they were 0-8 in the SEC the year before, they were just learning how to win.

The 2015 team experienced large amounts of success the previous year (and bowled the 2 years before) and didn't really learn much from it, which is disappointing looking back.

I believe the 2015 team would win.

Stats:
Average Points: 40.8 vs 32.1
Turnover Margin: 0 vs -2

Average Points Allowed: 22.6 vs 19
Pass Yards: 4,351 vs 2,875
CMP %: 65% vs 55.9%
Pass TDs: 35 vs 27

INTs: 14 vs 15
Rush Yards: 2,380 vs 2,424
AVG Yard per rush: 5.1 vs 4.7
Rush TDs: 29 vs 21

I’d say:
’15 QB > ’08 QB
’15 WRs > ’08 WRs
’15 TE > ’08 TE

’08 RBs > ’15 RBs
’08 LBs > ’15 LBs

Toss Ups:
OL
DBs
DL

DB's is definitely 08. other than that i agree. i was quick to say 08 DL is better but it is more of a push. it would be a fun game

I was trying to base it on their college play vs NFL career and that's difficult to do. I think Bridges and Webster really came on the final 3 games. With Conner in there along with Elston and Hilton, they are pretty tough. I almost gave the '08 DBs the advantage and probably should have.
