This puts things in perspective who has owned series. Thats OU 12-6. We are 41-39-3 since 1946.

Something they didn't speak to very well on the broadcast: that strip sack on our first possession. How the hell did we get possession of that ball?

Yes, we looked pretty bad our first possessions. I have no idea but someone under pile fought and got it. That might have ended us.
I will say, BV still has their attention. He said at half it would be a 4th qtr game. I about laughed because we looked pretty rough. And his players responded.
The big turn came when we had that kerfuffle on the sidelines after the punt. That seemed to fire everyone up.

Ryan Fodje was Johnny on the Spot, saved OUr bacon, somehow fought to recover that fumble.
We need the video in slo-mo.

Some eyes say that shorthorn #3 was climbing up another player during his kick-blocking attempt, a rules violation.
But no flag.
Brent would have declined the penalty, but he should have had the opportunity.
A delay resulting from that would have been a huge buzz-kill of the celebration, my guess is the officials saw the reaction from OUr half of the stadium and thought, "I'm getting out of the way!!!"
The SEC should post a Tweet stating the shorthorn penalty on that play, just to add insult to injury.

Ah thanks. I mean he was the last of those 3 guys (him, Simmons, some other UT lineman) who I thought had a chance on the ball. Nice work, Fodje!!

Texas also had an obvious grounding no-call in the 2nd half

Good morning from Dallas! We’re heading to the Texas State Fair in a bit, but first, we have a little surprise.
Here’s a 30-minute video of our experience at the Red River Rivalry!
On Saturday morning, after reading so many messages from you guys about how special this game is and why it’s a bucket-list experience, we spontaneously decided to film the whole thing.
We’ve always felt that a few Twitter posts don’t really capture what these experiences are like, so we thought we’d give it a try. We spent yesterday editing everything, and we’re actually pretty happy with how it turned out!
So here it is! You can now see our whole gameday experience, including our friend’s reaction to his very first college football game. Hope you enjoy it!
And yes, this means our anonymity is gone now. We know a lot of you liked that part of our account, but after Auburn and the photos that some posted of us, it was basically over for us anyway. Most people already know what we look like, so we figured there’s no real reason to hide anymore.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the video! Let us know what you think.

UNSUNG HERO'S I think the line blocking for Sandell should get a game ball for not moving causing a false start penalty when the Texas line quickly shifted.
Great discipline not triggering a false start on that play.

Putting a cap on the win

Posted on 10/13/26 at 1:38 pm to OU Guy
To be clear, this may not represent a turn around for Oklahoma. The offense did not exactly light em up though it did just enough to keep the whorns on their side of the 50 most of the second half and Mateer did hit those two clutch passes at the end.
The message is keep this game in perspective. Arch Manning is not the NFL-ready QB he was hyped to be.
The Sooner defense did what it had to do for a win and somehow the offense did not give it away (see OU @ UM).
When all's said and done, however, a win over saxet is the sweetest thing ever!
Go Sooners!

Just hoping that 2nd half alleviated whatever's got Mateer screwed up, to some degree. Needs to get his mojo back if we are going to run the table.
Right now, the scariest game for me is a toss-up between Ol' Miss and Mizzou. Mizzou's QB and offense are legit and being on the road, that will be a HUGE game.

No doubt. But we’ve faced some highly ranked defenses including New Mexico. All games ahead are less good.
My hope is the RB lanes we created can open up the running game.
And I’ll be honest, Arbuckle has impressed me these last 2 games. His schemes are great and its only QB play holding us back.
To note, we should start getting walking wounded players back over the coming games.

Someone asked for it, here’s the video. We got lucky but our player was just stronger and stole it during the scrum
Love how tx fans are whining about it after decades of them owning B12 refs
