It seems pollsters want to put anyone at #1 but us. Probably fatigued over always seeing OU in the top spot despite us not winning the championship last year.
We may see Alabama in the tournament. Things will be settled then.

You're most likely right, but I wouldn't fret much over the polls. The rankings have a way of working themselves out by season's end.

Also, I get a kick out of a few of our posters who presume to know more about who should play and about every move the coach should or shouldn't make. It takes an unbelievably arrogant fan to think he/she knows more about softball in general and OU softball in particular than the GOAT.

Yup, long ways to go. This weekend is huge.

Rocha is back and our pitching seems to have improved. Thats always been the key to me. We have the bats but they can be silenced occasionally. Thats when we’ll need great pitching. The tx series will answer some questions especially on the road. Its not the end all decider but should provide more clarity

Which posters? I haven’t seen any on here are you referring to other sites? If so I don’t post anywhere else so have no idea.

Yeah, I'm not concerned about the polls. Being 5th or 1st. It's just a curious thing I've noticed.

Agree with OU Guy that we'll learn more this weekend. Big series.

Lol, I reread and it said posters. No biggie to me was just curious. Posters are just super fans who post about their team both good and bad. Its all opinions and is what posting boards are for. We have the best coach in the land but occasionally posters will complain about stuff thats normal for all teams.

Last night I was posting in the rant baseball thread about our shitty baserunning. We were up 9-0 and 9-3 when I posted it but I look at longer term view, in close games those mistakes cost you. I also bitched about walks because that 1 run homer became a 3 run homer due to walks.

We still had a great game. One pitcher came in and gave up 3 runs which after years of DBU beating us caused me concern. I just say what I feel and congratulate them after the win. Nothing I post will ever be seen by coaches or team.

I did see this they moved us to 2. Anything in top 8 is gravy at this point. What matters is post season. Seeding can dictate who you get matched against but of we’re good it shouldn’t matter. Bring on all comers
