Next 3 gms? Texas (0-3); S. Carolina (0-3); at Arkansas (0-3).
That should tell us something after we play them. South Carolina did play Auburn tight today. Not sure there are any sure wins.

Right now, I'll be happy if we can just eek out that 15th place preseason prediction. I'm starting to have considerably more dynamic thoughts about where this program should go after this season.

Porter has no system. It looks like HS ball and every player just dribbling and going one on one
This. And his 'system' may have worked at small schools in rinky-dink conferences but it doesn't attract top talent.

I have so many thoughts in this team/coach
The defense actually played great after about 5-10 minutes of game clock time. Clamped down and made GA work.
Refs are giving us the “business”. Being new its a welcome. And overall SEC refs are bad. In the Bama/aTm game there were “88” FTs last night!! And 59 fouls called. But the spread was decently close unlike our 3 SEC games where we are getting the short straw.
Refs part 2. The way they are calling games hurts our game. Fears isn’t getting the same calls driving ball so he ends up frustrated early. Getting to the like helps him get in a groove. So it hurts him both ways. Not able to get some free shots to find his range and frustrated and makes turnovers. Same for other players
Moser went into conf play unprepared. To allow Bama so many rebounds and then to not respect the ball regarding turnovers vs aTm. We were not winning Bama but it was pathetic how we didn’t try to rebound. Then vs aTm we just were lazy with the ball.
Rebounds and turnovers are fundamental parts of BB. It appears he addressed those and we were better vs GA in both categories. We actually won most stat categories vs GA and it was solely the FTs that cost us that game. GA made 20 more points on FTs and if it was even we win.
But as important we have no system and go stale in crunch time. That makes it easier for teams to defend us. We don’t move the ball around. It seems more players want to play hero ball instead of being part of a system. And he won’t change his lineups no matter what, to teach players.
I also wonder if NIL has an impact. Its obvious Fears got a bigger deal than others. And I wonder if Moser thinks he has to play him more to appease the NIL payers. He is rattled and needs to not start a game to teach him. He should still be in HS and reclassed to play this year. Moser likely has pressure to play him?
Overall we should be 2-1 in conf. Turnovers cost aTm game and refs cost GA game. With a better game and strategy we could have overcome refs vs GA and same with aTm - better coaching benches those not respecting ball and making turnovers.
Moser should have sacrificed some pre conf games to teach players. Sit them when not listening or playing sloppy. Basically prepping for conf. But because he knows he’s not secure in job he went win focused and not season focused. Some coaches will use pre conf as a learning tool and lose some winnable games to win the bigger battle of season. But they are locked in to jobs and Moser is in playoffs or gone mode. That likely means he won’t experiment or bench players as much. And now it shows.

OU plays whorns at 9pm. Such a late game I guess when both trams are 0-3 thats the billing they get.

Lost, nothing new
OU trailed Texas 71-68 with 2:15 left.
Next three OU possessions: Turnover (Miles), Turnover (Fears), Turnover (Fears).

We need to take Nissan off the court and make Pepperidge Farm the sponsor since so many turnovers are made here and there.

This is just flat out horrible basketball. Not coached well at all. Player right before half lays off SC player who hits a logo 3. Its like he decided to cover another player at last second but there was no time left to pass. Bad coaching. And sloppy again, too many turnovers.
Needed to sit players way before this far into season. But PM wanted to win all pre season games instead of teaching and winning the season. Then he can claim “we’re this close” after missing out on playoffs again.

Much needed win. But doesn’t change anything about the 4 losses. Finally played well in 2nd half

We won another game, 2 in a row.

Thankful for the win but...
it was turnovers and ugly.

Might be our last win for awhile

Now the fun begins. We struggled to beat a bad Arky team.

Lost. Fears looks bad in conf play. Can’t rebound. Can’t get calls. Time for Moser to go but I’m sure they will wait til end of season. 2 players who left are balling out at Kentucky and Houston but Moser could not get that out of them. Now with Fears regressing it appears to be a coaching problem.

Play Vandy today, I expect a rebound win.

We must have rebounded better and hit most of our free throws.
Glad they got the win hope they make the March tourney this year.

We gave 2 conf games away, could be 5-3 vs 3-5 and what a diff that would make.

Guess who we play Tue night. And on the road. Can we keep it within 20?
