We coulda moved into a tie for 1st place in the loss column with a win. 4 turnovers at home. Indefensible. Now season is lost. And no one wants to see Mateer again. Nor Arbuckle. Trend of every other year is on track.
BB has to go
Arbuckle has to go

Good thing losing now is we won’t be so invested only to lose later. Can have fun watching other games. And hate watching too

Hear the Kentucky fans stormed the field in Norman.

In OU's three losses, John Mateer's turnovers have directly resulted in 35 points for the opponent.
OU's offense in those three losses has totaled just 36 points.
Unbelievable.

We've officially entered John Blake 2.0 territory.
Clearly they didn't practice that fake FG design. Not because they needed to practice it more. If they ran it a couple times in practice, surely someone - a coach, a player, a water boy - would have said "hey guys this is the most retarded fake FG design in the history of fake FGs"

This is not OU football and its time Brent was held accountable for not fixing offense after 5 years.
Any HC with a defensive pedigree should be able to see what a clusterfrick this "offense" is. Arfrickle has zero concept of gameplanning or momentum building. Just one random play after another. Zero creativity wrt the run game. Based on what we have seen, this is just as bad as Littrell's offense. Yet another hairbrained decision.
And I am tired of hearing the rumor about "well, Brent wanted Faulkner, but the admin wouldn't allow it." That's some middle-school deflection put forth by people who truly believed BV was the right hire. Let's say that is actually true - so instead, he hires some random nitwit who's coached for 2 years?
The absolute level of cringe knowing this mentally stunted person is our HC and just got another extension. I'd feel different if Brent could think or behave like a real HC instead of steering only half of the ship, but he has proven himself incapable.

I'm out until they replace Mateer. And I'm out next year if Arbuckle is back.

Same script as Michigan, he stopped running the runner and wanted Mateer ti be the hero.

Just anger is all I can muster. He wanted his pet to be the hero:

@TravisDavidson
My full exchange with Ben Arbuckle after the game:
TD: “With 12:10 left in the fourth quarter, that was the last handoff to a running back for the rest of the game. Is there something that you saw that you wanted to take advantage of through the air? And did the left tackle situation, with Fodje going out, having to slide (Peyton) due to that injury, did the protection have any impact on that decision to stop running the ball?”
BA: “Yeah, I think there's a lot that goes into it. Really need to go back and watch the film and put myself in those situations again. You know, if it was the last running back handoff, it wasn't the last run of the game. And we were able to do some effective things in that way. But again, you know, got to look at all of it. Got to look at all of it. What what could we have done better? What could I have done better? What could us as coaches have done better? What could the players have done better? We have to look at all of it. And ultimately we have to get rolling on Monday because we got to go play football next Saturday.”
