Think Bama's having trouble running the ball too.

Bob Stoops never got enough credit for being a defensive coach who nailed every single OC hire
Mike Leach
Mark Mangino
Chuck Long
Kevin Wilson
Josh Heupel
Lincoln Riley
Banger after banger after banger from a head coach with a defensive background.

Assbuckle has to go. Take Mateer with. Let Wilson take over. Let Newbauer take QB.
It’s amazing how this guy is OC at a major CFB power. Yet another failure on that side of the ball.
WTF play calls - no rhythm
Like we’ve got a randomizer picking the plays
Get the slow-developing run designs tf outta here
Oh, this is working? STOP DOING IT
Mateer had an off day and I’m not ready to give up on him but unfortunately, BV isn’t going to can Assbuckle in the middle of a season. We are fricked with this OC.

Agree. BV never fires in-season. And he will churn out 8 wins if he gets his attention. OC called some crap last year but I understand it was to due to injuries. But no excuses this year.
Can you imagine the thousands of fans who travelled to that game wondering WTF with the play calling.
We might be lucky to get 7 wins. Our D is not as nasty as last year. Still great but missed some turnovers. We won some close games last year via D scores/turnovers and our kickers leg. But we excused O because of injuries.
Our only hope to change fortunes is to go on road and beat GA, who has like one home loss in 8 years or so. If not and then we’ll have to beat tx. If not then we are staring at 2-3 and the wheels might come off.
No excuses this year.

Welp . . . iirc, when things went uber-haywire, Seth got canned mid-season.
But a corrective action should not wait until going down the toilet.

He did fire one in-season. And Wilson is on staff. But its hard to change playbook at this point.
