Bobby Marks
@BobbyMarks42
Side-by-side of OKC finances
This was their 2026-27 projected finances from last October compared to now.
Still a championship team but at lesser of the cost.
And now their 2027-28 projected finances as of now compared to the unknown of next year.

Chet plays great vs 28 teams. How will he open vs SAS tonight? His last outing was super bad

Wemby got in his head. Chet has the capability to frustrate him. Go Jordan Rules if you have to.

Yup. I mean Chet had an utter and complete meltdown. Hopefully he learned from it. I bet he read all the hate over off season too.
Tonight will be hard to win mainly because of all our roster changes. And JDub likely rusty from his injury last season. Cason starting. New pieces need time to mold.
But with OU football sucking all the good air away at least we have Thunder back in action.

Nikola Topic, Thomas Sorber and Otega Oweh are out vs the Spurs.
What is it with Sorber? And Topic may never see a full game with OKC. Oweh was a 2 way and is out for season
Holmgren missed all five preseason games due to a quad contusion but is cleared to play.

OKC up 65-44 at half. Ball moves better without Dort. Mara got minutes and did good for his first ever pro game.
“Free throw merchant” Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 16 points with zero made free throws at the half.
“Ethical Hooper” Victor Wembanyama with 8 points, 0/7 shooting, and 8/9 from the line at the half.

141 consecutive games with at least 20 points for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, continuing his NBA record-setting streak from last season.

Victor Wembanyama looked like he had an easy alley-oop dunk, but Aday Mara came flying in to get the block.
Mara then threw down a lob from Ajay Mitchell on the next play. What a sequence by the rookie. Wembanyama is now 0 for 9 from the field (0 for 2 from deep) in 22 minutes

No celebration behind Shai in the postgame interview is just as telling as Shai’s answer of “It’s 1 of 82, this doesn’t prove anything.”
These guys are out for blood.

SGA highlight reel. NBA fans don’t appreciate how good he is.

Presti nailed another pick. Mara played his first ever pro game on the road against the WC Champs and against the NBA’s new darling Wimpy and performed as good as possible. I thought he might get some non-Wimpy minutes and only a few at that. Wow. In that environment on national TV he was pretty flawless. Likely means IHart is gone end of year.
Plus we have Stirtz too who looks promising
