Has anyone here tried this? It looks promising and has a good review from Outside magazine.

I've decided to get off my lazy butt and get some work in. But even though my hometown is about as safe a place to ride as any, I no longer feel safe on the road. I'm no longer strong enough to feel like I can get out of the way. That was possibly wishful thinking in the past, but I'm definitely not fast enough now. Plus texting-while-driving is going to kill road cycling and is just plain scary. But indoor trainers to me have always been SOOOO boring that I've never been able to stick with it. I think this may be a good answer. If they come up with a dog module to chase your arse with an angry German Shepherd I'll definitely be in.

I've been reduced to driving my bike out to an industrial park where there's NO traffic, but the drive is longer than the ride and I used to make fun of people for doing this! Or riding around the mall parking lot on Sunday mornings. Those oldsters we've always made fun of walking around the mall like zombies? That's now me.

We're blessed with the Vicksburg Military Park, which is probably the best training ground for racers anywhere. Little traffic and they aren't going fast. But the VMP is a heart-attack-waiting-to-happen until I shed more weight.
