People have been retiring in FL forever. That is different than the COVID bump I mentioned. There is a 2 year waiting list for Section 8 housing in Tampa and Mayor Caster is on TV begging landlords to sign up. At least 1 in 5 people I see in Publix are using EBT cards. That doesn't sound like retirees or well doers to me. YMMV

Forgive my ignorance, but if someone needs EBT, why in the hell are they shopping at Publix?

I'm sure they shop Walmart, too, and it's probably 1 in 3 there but I wouldn't know because I don't do Walmart.

Do you believe people to be frugal with other people's $$$?
