Graduating in accounting in a couple of weeks and then heading to law school in the fall. Probably going to be doing tax or real estate law so my major is going to be pretty great for that.

During the Recession, I was in the process of applying to graduate schools to pursue a PhD in history, with a pretty specialized subject field. I loved it, was good at it, and had professors who agreed. But I had one professor in particular who point-blank told me not to do it. Said that I'd never pay my loans back.

Best advice I ever received.

Meh. SO was a philosophy major who went to law school and was employed within a few months of passing the Bar. Undergrad major does not matter when it comes to a law degree. It's all about what school you go to, as long as it's not a terrible school... experience, and shite like that.
