Protein I'll have to figure out probably a diced ham turkey pieces with boiled egg whites.

I eat a spinach salad every day for lunch. Grab a rotisserie chicken from the store on Sundays, and add some of that to it along with some type of cheese. Handful of almonds or a spoonful of peanut butter for a protein rich afternoon snack.

Boiled eggs are good too, but I hate boiled eggs.

What is the reasoning behind giving up "stuff" during Lenten for Catholics? It seems like a purge or wash to me, where many feel like giving up vices or something small, makes them right when they are actually living wrong but need to get themselves spiritually right instead of giving up a vice or indulgent and thinking that's salvation. Just curious as I'm not Catholic nor am I judging, I just don't understand.

I find religion to be so strange. I'm not trying to be offensive, but I just don't get it and I grew up being forced to go to church as a child.

I guess you find the nations laws to be strange and history of mankind to be strange also.

There has been religion in some form since the beginning of time.
