Good eye!
In a real boxing joint (that one is far too clean) you would have at least 4 hooks far from each other
1 for light bag
1 for medium bag
1 for heavy bag
1 for the "bag from hell" (basically the more you hit it over time, the more they poured new sand and it got really compacted after 5 to 10 years) You punch that one and it was like hitting cured concrete.

Every Catholic school had a basketball team and a boxing team
Navy was big on Smokers
It was real "Fight Club" back then, everybody fought. Clean tho, and age before knives and guns. Old priest's laced you up and settled it right there.
