ScienceDaily

Using the venom from 312 honeybees and bumblebees in Perth Western Australia, Ireland and England, Dr Ciara Duffy from the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research and The University of Western Australia, tested the effect of the venom on the clinical subtypes of breast cancer, including triple-negative breast cancer, which has limited treatment options.

Interesting information. Much more in the link.

Impressive. I wonder what mechanism they use to determine what kinds of tests to run for treatments. Who thinks "honeybee venom, let's try that".

Obviously this will require quite a bit more testing but if this pans out this could be a huge gain in the fight against cancer.

Let's inject some of this in a boobie and see what happens.

Bee population is already down 60%. We don’t need to put more pressure on them. Slaughtering bees to save titties isn’t a great idea.

You could essentially farm bees for this purpose and breed them. Gives incentive to save them actually if there’s a profit motive

I get what your saying, but if the bee population collapses, we’ll be in trouble.

Bees are not the only pollinators, and are not native to North America
