The manager came up to where I was and said I needed to go to the hospital (this was at midnight). Bad things happen at night.


I was working morning tower 11pm - 7am on a drilling rig. We had just finished tripping pipe out of the hole and the driller told me to go down below and retrieve the stripping rubber. Stripping rubber looks like a flat donut that wipes mud off the pipe when you're pulling pipe out. It was poorly lighted under the rig floor and when I bent over to pick up the stripping rubber there was a pry bar stuck in the ground and it was vertical and I hit it shoving my front 2 bottom teeth through my skin just below my bottom lip. It about knocked my out.
I walked into the doghouse up on the rig floor and my driller who is a friend of mine started laughing and said quit bleeding on my GD rig.
