Got sent to Harrison, AR as a recruiter for 3 years. It was a bit different at first. I was also stationed in California, and North Carolina.
The biggest adjustment was going from AR to NC and seeing tons of military again.
Now I'm old and go to school with young kids. I think I handle well.

The culture shock from Line to Recruiting and vice versa is way worse than moving anywhere in the country IMO.

I was freaking out just seeing people in cammies again. Sounds weird, but really a culture shock going back to the fleet - especially since I had my own office and really only worked by myself for three years.

There actually is a group of us on Twitter that dm gossip to each other. Names withheld to protect identities. KS should've secretly given you his pw and you could've really screwed with us in group chats.

Not really a huge thing but I got an angry stare down from a union stooge in Oregon when I pumped my own gas. Apparently I'm not qualified to pump my own gas.
