My point is loyalties don't mean shite to him. He goes wherever is best for him. I'm not sure they can survive another run to the finals with wade and bosh playing the way they did. Not with Rose coming back and Indiana getting older/experience

I agree. Besides I'd rather him not. The longer this thing goes the better our chances

Really? I've always been a big fan of him solely because he's from MS and gave my Celtics 3 good years

i heard about that. really weird move for him to make. they are going absolutely no where

I didn't realize people went there voluntarily

Lets talk my Celtics. Putting y'all's bias aside, say you were a Celtics fan. Would you be happy with this hire?

big step from college to the pros. let alone to one of the only two franchises that have ever mattered. he brought success to butler which is one thing, bringing it to the nba is another. everyone can coach x's and o's at this level. whether or not he can get to rondo, bass, green, etc to buy into him is what will make the difference. like it or not, but it is MUCH easier to respect someone who has an actual nba resume.
not saying it was a terrible hire, but they rushed and should have targeted someone with actual nba experience

quote:this. I guess my biggest worry is that he is so mild-tempered. Bringing in a mild-tempered rookie coach to coach probably one of the most high maintenance players in the league (Rondo) is a recipe for disaster IMO. Yes, he coached Butler to consecutive national championship games. I respect his coaching abilities and I respect the Butler players, but he hasn't coached any big superstars there, so how is he going to handle being around guys that he has to stay on about making the right decisions off the court like Rondo? Another thing, I guess you could say we are going into a rebuilding time for the first time in 8 years. I don't know if I want a rookie coach at the helm of a rebuilding time. My cousin who was following the Celtics when I was shitting my diaper is really happy with the hire, so you never know, it could work out. I'm just think we could have done better.
