Communication may be difficult. I hear all the telephone lines are down.

The rain has subsided now we need everything to drain which could take a few days. No flights were able to land today but just heard they are going to open IAH up at 4 am but I would be surprised if there wasn’t major delays. I have some friends flying in tomorrow as well and their flight was cancelled.

I flooded in 2016, watched Harvey hit them in '17, Carolina flood same year I think, and now this. Every time I see flooding now it's sickening. FEMA a joke.

Aside from all the ribbing we do at each other on these boards, flooding is devastating and I hope those of you who haven't gone through this never have to.

I deployed for some flood relief operations and my nephew spent quite a bit of time down in Texas and Louisiana when y'all had flooding down there. You really can't grasp just how destructive a major flood can be until you see it in person.

Even when the waters recede you are going to have structural damage, mold, and filth everywhere. It takes a long time to recover from a flood.
