Who here knows what I am legally required to do? I don't mind being without insurance honestly as young as I am but I realize that's not super smart. I guess my question is what am I legally required to do regarding Obamacare and by when do I have to do it?

Get a waiver. There's lots of articles out there on how to game the system and opt out. Opt out like a motherfricker.

Buy it in the ACA Marketplace. You can get disaster coverage for pretty cheap. Meaning if break your arm in an accident or something you won't go bankrupt.

If breaking your arm is a catalyst for bankruptcy, you're going bankrupt anyway.

Possibly. But what if it requires an ambulance ride? Surgery? Continued visits? If you're not insured that could cost 15 grand I bet. And someone at 22 or 23 with student loans, a car payment, and recently unemployed... I mean it's not the best scenario.

Don't worry the IRS will be in touch. We just got the requirements last week. I have to write a damn parser that shows what everyone in the company's healthcare coverage is and then upload it to the IRS. Fun stuff, due by 31 March 2016.

Based on this, they'll know what you make and what kind of coverage you have - they'll be in touch.

Ive heard that if you over pay your taxes they will take the fine out of your refund BUT if u work your income so that you alway owe taxes at the end of the yr then they cant get your money. So pay you taxes at the end of the yr just dont pay the fine. They wont come after you. They dont have the resourses.
PS. Vote republican always!!!!
