All you dumbasses saying Rousey would win: do you not realize that a jab from Mayweather would be the equivalent of a haymaker from the best opponent Rousey has ever faced?

Yeah, I think with about a year of training, Floyd could develop good enough takedown defense to make it a good match.

Otherwise, no. Floyd is losing and losing very quickly.

Jab from Mayweather is a haymaker?

Boxers take hundreds of Mayweathers punches almost every fight and don't even go down and have for years.

With no takedown defense, Rousey shoots for the legs or hell, could just dive and grab an ankle and this fight is OVER.

If they fought tomorrow, Rousey in 30 seconds. That assumes Floyd runs from her for 15 seconds as well.

Last time a heavyweight boxing champ stepped into the Octagon, he was taken down in seconds, landed exactly ZERO punches and was quickly submitted. Was a total joke.

Same thing would happen to Floyd without training. And hell last time the boxer trained for months and didn't lay a finger on the mma guy.

i like his chances. i don't even know who mizzou has on their wrassling team, but i'd take their 135 lbs guy against her sight unseen.

I boxed and wrestled growing up and I can say that unless you train for MMA a true boxer or grappler is at a disadvantage. What is "illegal" in both sports is legal in MMA. So anyone who has trained to for years at wrestling or boxing doesn't have the intuition on how to defend against the submission holds. The same goes if you are trading leather since you don't have to worry about an opponents legs hurting you if you are a boxer.

researchers determined that men had an average of 72.6 pounds of muscle compared to the 46.2 pounds found in women. The men had 40 percent more muscle mass in the upper body and 33 percent more in the lower body.

LINK

assuming both train at the highest level, Floyd still is drastically stronger than Rousey.

unless the MMA fighter is a female and the boxer is a male. An undefeated professional male boxer.

Floyd and Rousey are the same size.

Bet Rousey has stronger legs than Floyd's little chicken sticks too.

so you think Rousey is as strong as Floyd Mayweather

gtfo

I'm a former S&C coach and interned at UF. Worked with all types of athletes. Even at the highest level the difference in strength between men and women is not even remotely comparable.

The strongest girl on UF's softball team could bench press 145 lbs and she was a fricking hoss.

Your male vs female thing is too much.

Advantage of being male is bigger, faster, stronger.

Floyd is barely bigger. Probably stronger upper body and weaker lower body. He is a lot faster, but still has to get close and this isn't a footrace.

I mean I could give you the same story and replace bench with dead lift, squat, power clean, hang clean, vertical jump, 40 time, and any other physical metric that athlete's use to chart their abilities
