Do you feel comfortable with money saved up for retirement?

I was a lot happier before Biden.....and richer.

That's the big guessing game that everyone goes thru; do I have enough? I know I won't have to apply for Social Security until I hit full retirement age so I have that going for me.

The lady my mom uses as her financial advisor requires a minimum of 250k to invest. I'm not sure what she actually put in when she retired, but I know that 10 years later she has more money than she did when she retired and hasn't worked a day since. I think it's Merril Lynch.

Honey do’s (I enjoy), fishing, kids, family, tv, friends. I retired due to health, have M.S, not even 50, so sometimes I don’t know wtf to do. I have to pace myself and can’t do too much for more than 2-3 hours. My boys are seniors this year & really won’t know what to do when they go off to college. They’re super smart and have their choice of schools, so I don’t know how far they’re going. But if you figure it out lmk.

keep moving brother

God bless you

Chicken should start a VFW board. But then again, just like a brick and mortar VFW, it would turn into tRant filled with drunken vets in short order.

Temporarily I was. Had a few 'projects' to complete plus I needed a new laptop.

I had the house painted inside and out. I would have done the interior myself but the ceilings in the kitchen and family room are 20+' high and well frick that. I didn't have the interior doors, frames and closets painted so I took care of the doors & frames and yes they were a PITA but they look great now. Oh yeah painted is expensive as hell. I had to buy another gallon of the Sherwin Williams ProClassic Interior Acrylic Enamel and with a 30% discount it was still $70......but when it dries it looks great.

Still have a few other home projects to do but I'm not going to rush through them.

Youngest grandchild lives close but the other 2 live near Chicago. Going up there for Christmas. We're pretty good about spoiling them.

Thanks

I hope to retire in a couple of years. Built a new house in 2020 for my retirement. We'll see if it happens with the economy the way it is.

Eventually you're going to just have to take the plunge and do it. Do it before you "have to".

I foresee the economy improving after the midterms and jumping when either Trump or DeSantis takes the WH. Maybe I'll get back what I've lost in the past 1 1/2 yrs.
