Hell it is 70 in Fayetteville right now. I think my air conditioner just shut off for the first time in a couple of weeks.

It's been very stormy where I'm located on the northeastern side of the ridge, so I've been lucky to avoid very hot weather. You guys in the South Central U.S. have been dealing with an awful summer. I saw again today where parts of Arkansas have some of the highest heat indices in the country.

Y'all will have a respite from the heat next week thanks to storms. Temperatures for rest of next week appear to be normal to slightly above normal across AR, so hopefully what you're experiencing today will conclude the chapter of miserable heat.

Yeah it's been kicking our butts in SC as well.

27 days in July of over 110° real feel heat factor, 12 of those hit 115°.

Today is, right this minute, 111° real feel. It's brutal.

I actually just hung up the phone with my Brother up near Johnson City and y'all just got quailed up around there from what he was telling me ... with Round 2 on the way.
