To hell with that. I’ll take scorching summers all day long before I’ll take arctic cold and snow for months.

If I've learned one thing it's that a person can handle any season almost anywhere if they slowly acclimate to it. Winter here is not unlike Summer in the Middle East in the sense that if you show up before it starts and deal with it incrementally it's infinitely easier.

You’re probably right. But there’s a little more seasonal depression built in with northern winters that I’d also rather not deal with.

It's definitely an acquired taste. Personally I really like it and it keeps the riff raff out.

See im the other way.
Since I'm mostly working, I get seasonably depressed when its 100 with humidity and I'm taking the subway in work clothes and dripping in sweat by 7:30 am.

With the cold, atleast i just throw on more layers/scarf etc.
