Charlotte is 2 1/2 hrs closer to Cola than is Atlanta ... more or less, depending on traffic. Do not take 77 out of Charlotte. Take the 85 bypass and then jump back onto 77 once you cross into God's land here in SC.

Atlanta to Cola is 3 1/2 hrs at best ... usually worse if you hit traffic on 20.

Cola to Charlotte is 1 hr. 1 1/2 in average traffic and depending upon the time of day.
