Even Tom Gugliotta and Keith Van Horn had a decent year. So what exactly are we saying here?

So what you are saying is that I am Pop and you are Kupchak?
If I am hearing you correctly, you are wanting the JJ's to waste money on a backup guard who thinks he may play, instead of trading him for a guy we know can make a difference immediately.

quote:First of all, waste is the wrong word. The reason patty mills is so valuable is because he is a backup. There are nights when the starters can't get it going. There are nights when ginobili's shot is off. There are nights when half of your team is injured and you need a safety blanket player who can perform well without help. This is patty mills. He's offense when there is none, defense when there is no momentum, 6th man when there are no other capable players. He's the do-it-all point guard who converted his pudgy, towel-waving self into a non-pudgy, towel-waving, electric backup who is capable of bringing up a team when its down and give confidence to others by sparking initial momentum. He's developed several of Frenchy's (I'm catching on) moves in just one summer. Why would you want to trade someone with sky high potential on top of an already electric momentum shifting playing style for someone who can make a "temporary difference immediately." Mills DOES make a difference now, and he will only improve with each year under McWonderbutt.

Ummm, seriously you just don't get it I suppose. This is a constant source of discussion fishing and trolling that we both have and is not serious. Relax a little and enjoy our in house bickering and understand the jokes.
As to reply seriously to your post. I am pleased with Mills but am not sold on him as anything more than a spot guy. I think he is valuable, but not the answer after Frenchy leaves.
