I'm not afraid of Memphis, I just don't want to play them in the playoffs for health reasons.
Pretty sure like 4 of our last 6 games have gone into OT. Not to mention I think we had a regular season game or two last year go into OT as well.
Problem is y'all are great at ruining our fun and usually make a play to win.

I wasn't talking about a series with them. Just them ending our current win streak.

I am still pissed that the Leisure Suit did not trade for KT. If they had gotten him, it was 'ship. Mills was definitely worth KT, IMO.

Nope.

Yes, but even in a close game, the team with more experience usually wins. That's why I'm afraid of teams that try to sprint out of the gates like Houston and Portland.

Neither of which current rosters have won a playoff series or beaten the Spurs in one.

Yup
You know that too. Frenchy will be 44 a night in playoffs. Mills wont be around, unless it is something completely dstupid going on.
ETA:
I also think that Mills is a good player but the playoffs he wont be used.

We actually have not played Houston in the Duncan era in the playoffs, and only played the Blazers once in that time iirc (1999 WCF).

We should rename this board Memphis/spurs talk featuring one depressed laker.

No. We need a competent backup PG. Baker's Man is a big step up over Neal from last year in that regard.

Again, I disagree. I think Pop will lean heavily on the bench in the postseason once again, and Baker's Man has measurably raised his game to be a valuable contributor.

I hope you are right, but I just think Pop will let Frenchy play until he wants out.
I am not sure about this, but I think if the JJ's get matched with Houston at any time, you will see them play Diaw, Green, and KL as 2,3,4 and switch everything. Let Duncan go to 5 and play Howard. Frenchy will control the series as Houston has nobody to match that lineup.

Yeah, McWonderbutt will play big mins (already leads the team in a mins/game), but Mills' energy and ball handling (again, not a strong suit of the erstwhile Neal) are excellent for keeping the pressure on teams when the second unit checks in.

The big concern to me is the bench. You got Manu, Red Hot Shooter, Mills, Diaw, but no true big man or true 4 that can give you someone to take pressure off the backcourt. Playoff time is about the matchup of 4's. That is how the JJ's usually dominate people. They can move Duncan to 4 and attack in paint and go Euro ball.
I have not seen them go Euro set much this year.

That may be by design.
Baynes has sneakily been getting more burn.....

I can't help watch Doug McDermott and not think this guy has Spur written all over him.

Went and watched some DM highlights.
Now I want him in silver and black

Douggie McBuckets wont be a Spur unfortunately. He wont be around for the last pick of the first round. But a guy who I like is Spencer Dinwiddie from Colorado. He is 6'6" guard played on World University games and can play multiple positions. He is perfect for the Spurs.

They will make it happen somehow. I just know it.
