Sounds awesome! Until after the first day when you made $13.50 instead of $300 and now the rest of your year is already off track.

I never made lower than $75 when I panhandled for an 8 hour period. If I didn't meet quota I would just stand longer.

My favorite is the guy with a van full of kids who doesn't have gas money, needs to get home, and can't you help? I fell for this the first couple of times and it seems to happen 1 out of 2 times I stop across the river for booze. Now I just offer them free food at the adjacent Subway. And strangely they aren't interested. I feel sorry for those kids, but short of murdering the parents I dunno what anybody can do.
A few months ago a woman circled this gas station I was at in her car. She gets out and walks up to me with some Captain D's coupons saying she was hungry and her old man had been beating on her. I told her to go next door to Walmart and buy some rice.

Nashville has a program now where the homeless sell newspapers.
Reminds me of the old newsboys but instead of hawking main street they are out hawking Briley where the traffic moves faster.
