It's definitely pretty. The book it came with is full of weight loss diets and exercises but im definitely trying to gain. I see lots of protein in my future. Just wanted to check in.

Alright, I need help...

Last night I bought a tub of whey protein and a tub of creatin. Apparently, they are both post workout drinks. The whey protein has creatin in it. I didn't realize that at the store. It has 1.5 grams of creatine monohydrate per serving.

My question is, if I drink both will I have some sort of creatin overload? I really don't have any idea what I'm doing so any help would be appreciated. Should I just take the creatine back?

*update* have been bombing copious amounts of creatine with no hives rashes or vision loss. Also, I am enjoying the bowflex. Being able to push it to the max without a spotter is good.

Awesome!

I'm shooting for 3.1 in under 27:00 today.

Still slow... but trying to get speed up before taking on miles.

I think all that any extra creatine will do is just make you retain water. It may also have some liver effects. Check on that.

Right now I'm only taking one shot of the whey/creatin and one of the creatin straight. Thank you very much for the heads up, though.

Oh crap. Studies have shown that all it takes is for the creatin levels to be too high for 24 hours or more and you have a 99% greater chance of male pattern baldness and impotence at an earlier age.

I did that for 3 days a week for a couple of months. I just can't do it anymore and be competent at work. 5:00 a.m.? Fine. But 4:00 a.m. is just too early for me.

Yeah, the older I get the harder those earlier starts are.

I need some new run/bike playlist recs.

Here is what I have had on the list for years: AC/DC (Bon Scott only), Drive By Truckers, The Cult and Motley Crue.

Any good recommendations for any music along these lines?

Have you ever tried switching music for podcasts? I've started listening to podcasts during my workouts, and they're keeping me more entertained than music did.

Sorry not really answering your question but just a recommendation.

I'll throw together some of my tunes for you. I think spotify has a specific 140 beats or more per minute channel

This ain't bad

Classic running playlist

Every month Runners World releases a new 90 minute playlist for runners

LINK

Right now I'm doing amazon audio books while training

I tried books, but someone reading or talking doesn't really do anything for me.

I'll check out the Spotify channel and that Runners World list has a couple of good tunes on it.

Unfortunately, it also has a lot of new music-and I have to like it to want to listen to it when I'm running-and some of that stuff is like ear cancer.
