Yeah, leave it to AI to get it wrong yet another time. Old people have way more living smarts than AI will ever have.

Seems like you’re the one who’s struggling, Grits, not the computer.

Nope, AI never met Pete in real life, the same can not be said for old folks with blood still flowing in their veins.

This is the stuff. I grew up watching Bob Knight’s IU teams and you got me with “constant motion.”

You ran across that back door basketball play when listening to Banned Vinyl on YouTube.
I didn't want to get in trouble embedding this song.

You probably already know, Alabama utilizes some modern, high-paced variations of the Princeton offense, essentially blending a 5-out or 4-out with back-door cuts and motion.

BTW, check this out, a random high school team actually used this same play over the weekend to win their game.

I fricking hate what basketball has become. I miss backdoor cuts, double picks, baseline picks, motion offense, etc all for a glorified three point contest.

I know what you mean, and it's actually a misconception that we run a "chunk it from three" offense — there's actually a lot of motion to create spacing, drives, and kick-outs that setup those shots.

We've also been doing some weird high post screens that are new this year, where the pick man never really gets set (so it's hard to call a moving screen), but he sort of just immediately goes into a roll. Really hard to defend.

It's this second shot (where he comes from the corner):

All that to say some teams that shoot a lot threes still do a lot behind the scenes to create that spacing, but I do get that it's not for everybody. The regular season NBA is almost unwatchable to me.

I'm a huge fan of threes in the flow of the offense. But, I've seen clips of NBA games where they go up and down the floor 7 or 8 times and the ball never gets inside the arc. It's ridiculous.

This is what Pio's favorite player did to the game.

Imagine what Jordan or Shaq would do with this fool.

The best is how the other dudes on the court react, like "not this shite again."

This is seriously some people's best player of all time....

He couldn't even play with his back to the basket until his second year in Miami. He got shite in the all star game for not taking the last shot. He was scared to death in a fricking exhibition. I don't know how anyone with a straight face can say that he's better than Jordan or Kobe.

Bill Laimbeer would've throat-punched his arse into next week the first time he tried that flopping shite.
