Never had raw milk before that I'm aware of.
I will only drink whole milk though. I don't know how people drink 2% etc.

Was raised on a dairy farm. Our milk came straight from the holding tank. I remember the first time I had "store milk". Tasted like water. I stopped drinking it for a long time because of it.

Was it 2%? It basically is water.

I think it's ridiculous that they won't allow people to buy/sell it.

Thoughts and advice from the old guy ion the room.
#1 Politics needs to STFU when it comes to medicine and health
#2 I am old enough to remember polio
#3 I agree on herd immunity and natural defense when we were cavemen. Back then we could eat rancid meat and survive like our dogs still can today, but those days are gone. We live in high density civilizations, have freedom to travel, and no longer survive on what we source ourselves.
#4 About a century ago, life expectancy went from average death at 44 to average death at 67 almost overnight. This coincided with the global society using soap for first time in human history.
#5 We have intellect so use it. Do your own research from reliable sources and do not trust conspiracy talk and sheep speak. Just because social media spreads a claim does not mean the claim is actually correct. Saying vaccines cause autism "may" be correct, but I suspect there is a more correct source for autism that gets missed in the confusion.

I was prepared to make a horse joke here, but then I read down a little more to...

And was reminded about the 1854 Broad Street cholera outbreak (Wikipedia).
quote:
The Broad Street cholera outbreak occurred in London, England, killing 616 people, and is best known for the physician John Snow's study of its causes and his hypothesis that germ-contaminated water was the source, rather than dirt particles in the air.
Snow used a dot map to illustrate how cases of occurred around a pump, performing a statistical comparison between the Southwark and Vauxhall Waterworks Company, and a waterworks at Seething Wells that was further upriver and hence had cleaner water; he showed that houses supplied by the former had a cholera mortality rate 14 times that of those supplied by the latter.
Snow's study is part of the history of public health and health geography. It is regarded as the founding event of epidemiology.
Just imagine how someone would've been mocked 200 years ago if they had suggested that significant illness and death was caused by a tiny invisible organism that we cannot see, but that could be controlled if everyone was willing to adopt simple, regular disinfection procedures.
