That team was good but I don't think they were even top 15

And Dirk remains the most under-appreciated superstar ever. Kobe/Gasol, Durant/Westbrook/Harden, LeBron/Wade/Bosh... all in a row. Haters. Gonna. Hate.

I agree with this for the most part.

quote:

JORDAN PLAYS his new favorite trivia game, asking which current players could be nearly as successful in his era. "Our era," he says over and over again, calling modern players soft, coddled and ill-prepared for the highest level of the game. This is personal to him, since he'll be compared to this generation, and since he has to build a franchise with this generation's players. "I'll give you a hint," he says. "I can only come up with four."

He lists them: LeBron, Kobe, Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki.

If someone had you list off the top 5 players in the league right now, Dirk makes Michael Jordan's list, but I highly doubt your average fan even puts him in the top 15.

He is clearly a top 15 player. I wouldn't go that far and put him in my top 5. But he is top 15

Jordan puts him in HIS top 5. That is all I'm saying.

Kobe, LeBron, Durant should be everyone's top 3... but 4 and 5? Dirk should get more consideration than he does after the obvious ones. Most under-appreciated superstar of all time.

Dirk, Duncan, and Garnett are the only great big men to play in the modern era

Define modern era. I think Shaq would have something to say about that

I was sort of thinking of after shaq went to the heat but yes he is a great. I going to include him, but couldn't remember which of the other "older" greats played as long as he did.
