Every time you fall off get back on. I failed to quit smoking several hundred times and then one day it stuck.

I had 5 of my 6 drinks per weekend last night. I get 1 whiskey drink this weekend.

But I have been religious about working out 3 days per week.

Thanks to you guys keeping the thread active. I went down a dark hole for a day or so and avoided working out, drank 8 diet cokes, and ate a whole pizza (all on 11/6/18).

But for the last week, I have worked out everyday and ran 10 miles on saturday. Not here to brag but to encourage. What would make me a much better internet friend would be to get back on here and share my thoughts when I am in the darker areas of my days. But I typically avoid contact with everyone and hope that no one brings up the dreaded question of "How are you doing with your_____?"

I should add that to my goals. To man up and stay around when I fall off the horse.

Anyone else have any updates other than DSJ and Arksulli?

Those of you that really want to completely stop drinking please go to your Dr. and ask about script called "Campral". You really need to want to quit but it is great, not alot of people know about it.

You will not try.

You WILL do better.

So I went to the doctor for my 6 month check up... and I gained ten pounds since the last time I weighed myself and my blood pressure is up.

The doctor suspects it might be thyroid related so I go in on Tuesday for more tests. Not serious Oh My God tests, just some blood work and all that fun stuff.

You should have poured them all into one big cup. That way you only had 1 diet coke.

Pioneer has no addictions.

What would you say my addictions are?

Great thread guys. Good job on owning your problem.

And just like any other problem, you work it.

I haven't had a drink in two days, not because of a conscious plan but because I simply didn't think to do it. I can live with that. Arkansas is playing football today so I'm fairly certain I'll need a few drinks after the game.

If it’s thyroid related, look into natural thyroid medication first. Armour thyroid. Lots of people respond better to it than synthroid.

Keep us posted. Start the light exercise. All of your health gets better with exercise.

Not true.

We are all addicted to something. You are “at least” addicted to this website and basketball but you Cannot quit those. We need you too much.

Be honest. It’s just us. What are your other real addictions? Do not have to be illegal. Could be sugar, porn, carbs, gambling, sodas, social media, etc.

Sup SECD.

Nice redemption.

I slacked the past week due to deer hunting and busy work schedule. Drank a little too much at the front of the week and only exercised on Wednesday. I was going to have a big, tall, cold Tito’s and soda with lime last night that I snuck into a play my wife choreographed, but a fat lady kicked it over.

I’m back in the saddle today. I’ll probably go for a run and have very little to drink.

Arksulli-I hope the tests go well.
