Not sure of the point. My opinion all along is that the state of NY is inflating their number of deaths due to Covid-19. You didn’t respond to my numbers. Tell me how it’s possible that NY claims about the same number of Covid-19 deaths as the next 15 states combined.

Well I was hoping it would help you with understanding the correlation of Total test provided to Total test confirmed to Total deaths. We haven't even begun to discuss other factors such as density, state response time, means of transportation (subway system) and inbound international flight numbers.
But lets not pretend the burden of proof is on me. Could you please provide evidence of any kind that New York is lying about the death toll from Covid-19.
However, if you wish for me to take you approach it's quite simple. I believe the majority of all other states are intentionally suppressing the number of positive covid-19 cases and death so that the state Governor can save face and re-open their state in hopes of reducing the negative economically impact that the shutdown is having. They want this so they can get re-elected and have no qualms with killing a few people to get what they want. See how does NY have such a high death toll bot the other state do not.
Could you also provide a link to the taxes you were talking bout. I am seriously curious as I do quite a bit of business in New York and have never come across this tax burden you speak of.

I don’t think NY is lying
It’s mostly in NYC and most of it very bad areas (one neighborhood that was crushed ironically is Corona Queens) where majority of the population are poorer work blue collar jobs where they need to travel via subway etc
And can’t afford to call in sick and obviously don’t have a work from home function

Maybe Italy is lying. I mean how do you explain the numbers between Italy and New Zealand. Or maybe only places like Lombardy are lying so they can also get all that Italian gov't money to preform infrastructure upgrades.

You tend to ramble to avoid a direct answer. Explain, precisely, how NY could have about the same number of Covid-19 DEATHS as the next 15 highest states COMBINED. The other states have cities including LA, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Houston, San Francisco, Indianapolis, Miami, Tampa, Orlando & New Orleans.
If you don’t know how NYC taxes business from outside the city which do business in the city, I highly doubt you a) travel there to do business, or b) own your business.

In revising its totals NY is simply following the guidelines from the CDC updated April 2nd to include all Pneumonia related deaths
"Pneumonia deaths are included in the provisional counts because deaths due to COVID-19 may be
misclassified as pneumonia deaths in the absence of positive test results, and pneumonia may appear
on death certificates as a comorbid condition. Thus, increases in pneumonia deaths may be an
indicator of excess COVID-19-related mortality."

This isn't complicated. Literally read the post above this one. However we have provided evidence to support our claims. Could you please provide anything at all that supports your claims of inflated death number and/or super disaster area tin foil conspiracy.
When did I say I traveled to New York City for business and how does knowing another States/cities taxes qualify me to own or not own a business? For the third time, could you provide a link to the taxes you are referencing? Or should I just assume this, like everything else you have stated, is just shite you are throwing against the wall?

Most of the deaths are in NYC. Unlike those other states, NYC is not as drivable or walkable and public transportation is much more used

You telling me that more people in NY take public transit than all of the other 15 states combined?
Somebody's numbers are wrong. Way wrong. It's either NY or many, many of the other states.
BTW, NJ is the most densely populated state in the US. DC is the most populated non-state. NY is 9th on the list in regards to population density.

And btw it's not even close.
State and Federal Funding for Mass Transit

Practically all of the cities that I mentioned have rail systems but, if not, they certainly have mass transit. I have no idea what state and federal funding for mass transit has to do with anything.

Just like every other Democratic cause, facts don't really matter. They felt like those extra 3,000 deaths belonged in the Chinese Flu total, so they added them.

But if you dont want to accept funding as a measure here's a handy dandy ridership chart.

Over 2 billion people ride the subway in a year
Throw in NJT, LIRR and Metro North (the other 3 Main rails that bring workers into NYC) it’s even more than that.
Using the link posted by Kat, I’d say those numbers add up to more than all those cities combined

NYC has the majority of the deaths, over 10k of them.
NYC is the most densely populated city in the country and considering most of deaths are coming from poor blue collar areas, it’s not all that shocking.
