A colleague pointed this out to me

" Auburn was also hosting a launch party. Nearly 500 Auburn alumni have worked for NASA including six astronauts, and the university boasts three Kennedy Space Center directors. Marshall Space Flight Center Deputy Director Joseph Pelfrey, an Auburn alumnus, has said “War Eagle” is written somewhere on the rocket."

Does writing "War Eagle" on a rocket void its warranty ?

My cousin was 1 of the 3 KSC directors from AU. Forrest McCartney, he took over after the Challanger disaster. He was a badass.

Huntsville is in Alabama and full of SEC alum. Ag & Mech schools seem to usually fill the rank and file workers in space programs. Always funny if you drive from Mo to CO through KS how many exits have an astronaut from there. Guess they wanted to ge3t as far away from KS as possible and space was the farthest.
