Here are two variations of a black watch in the same spot.
Hugo will you direct to the page number and we can get a sense of whether or not people prefer this plaid to the other or will make a mock up before we try to take a vote or change anything.

I don't care nearly as much as chicken or the high council about the color scheme.

I tried to stay away from samples with a light line because it was getting in the way with the White lettering in the smaller fonts. But that's the only reason.

I like both but for sake of argument I'll say the blue because the logo and other options on the title bar will show up better.

I agree completely.
Maybe since we like the idea of plaid, and this one is more subtle (especially with the dark muted version), chicken won't reject it.
I know nothing about graphics and have no idea how hard it is to make something like that a banner though.

I liked both the blue and the red. The blackwatch (blue) is very masculine. The red is more festive.

It would be nice if Ice or Chicken weighed in on the blue plaid before proceeding.
Even something like, "Let's see what it would look like."
