Have you ever tried selling before? Idk maybe it was just my personality but I felt like such a bitch cold calling people and asking them to buy something. Even if they came into our office I still didn't feel confident trying to sell. It was pretty much all nerves. It just didn't mesh with me at all.

I hate sales. I had to fake my personality to do it. I was miserable everyday too. I worked at a jewelry store during the holidays one year.

I love Let it Go, but I'm biased since I have two little girls who can belt it out in the car. It makes me smile.

see I hate my job and give no effort so I think thats why I have not made a sale. But I will tomorrow when I act all fake. And if I make the sale, its possible I could get out of that job in 2 weeks and move somewhere else

I worked as a telemarketer selling alumni association memberships. Making cold calls to alumni who had never donated. That sucked.

EVERY Conversation went nearly exactly like this:

Customer: Hello?
Me: Hi this is UMR from XYZ Insurance I was wondering if I could have a minute of your time to talk about...
Customer: Let me stop you right there. NO!
*click*

Every one of those conversations eroded my soul and broke my confidence. It was brutal.

Making cold calls

My friend has been a financial advisor for 2 months and lives 100% off of commissions. Says he makes about 60 cold calls a day every day and he's made a total of 1 sell and that was to my 84 year old grandmother who I set him up with.

I love the sales I'm in, but it's not cold calling.

Pretty much. Made like 1500 in commission from my grandmother. Good for him he still lives at home.

Well it was the summer before my freshman year at OM so I had to leave

I have to do a little selling at my current job but it's nothing similar to that. I'm still pretty shitty at it though.
