We are getting pounded with waves of rain, but the winds haven't been as bad as expected

Glad the wind wasn't as bad for you as it was here.
Wish we would have got some of the rain it's really dry here. A lot of people southeast of me lost their homes in wild fires.

The Monarchy in Britain is seen as proper English and all that, but the end result of all this war, diplomatic infighting, and religious disputes was that... Scotland won. Due to the ever complicated royal marriage system (one day I'll bore everyone with the story of how a small, middle class, family wound up married to most of the rulers of Europe.) James the 6th of Scotland inherited the English throne and promptly united the two lands and declared himself to be James the 1st of Great Britain, ruler of the United Kingdom. Of course all manner of civil wars and dynasties dying off happened afterwards but the UK stayed in place.

I am a caregiver for my mother, along with my internet work, and if you can sleep... sleep. Waking up at 1:30, doing something, and then going back to bed is hard.

IMHO he's one of the most under rated actors in Hollywood history. He prefers comedies, action movies, and westerns so "serious" critics overlook him but while I have seen him in some wonderfully bad movies he has never turned in a bad job.
Well, okay, maybe some of the early Disney stuff.
