I didn't realize nitrogen and ammonia production was so closely tied to the middle east (apparently because domestic prices still follow global markets).
How is anyone supposed to make a living with this type of nonsense?

Its tough. You can fertilize your fields and not get a rain and it can gas off where you dont get much or any benefit from it.
It can rain too much and wash it away.
I didn't realize we import fertilizer from that part of the world either until this last week.
Diesel prices are hitting hard as well.
It rained .03 this morning. It didn't even settle the dust.
