Morning all,
My nights are rough now. Day 19 after my knee replacement and the last 5 nights have been hard to fall asleep. I think its the nerves trying to heal. Had to take a pain pill to get 3 hours of sleep. Ugh

Joke of the Day
NASA was preparing for the Apollo project.
When NASA was preparing for the Apollo project, some of the training of the astronauts took place on a Navajo reservation.
One day, a Navajo elder and his son were herding sheep and came across the space crew. The old man, who spoke only Navajo, asked a question that his son translated. "What are these guys in the big suits doing?"
A member of the crew said they were practicing for their trip to the moon. The old man got all excited and asked if he could send a message to the moon with the astronauts. Recognizing a promotional opportunity, the NASA folks found a tape recorder.
After the old man recorded his message, they asked his son to translate it. He refused. The NASA PR people brought the tape to the reservation, where the rest of the tribe listened and laughed, but refused to translate the elder's message.
Finally, the NASA crew called in an official government translator. His translation of the old man's message was: "Watch out for these guys; they have come to steal your land."

When I was much younger (early teens) I had to recover from a bad knee injury (fell on an old railroad spike, I shite you not). What doesn't get attention is that the pain comes and goes. You can be well into your recovery and then spend a couple of days in agony.
I wish I could give you some advice buddy.

Went to 3 week follow up today. Doc took my bandage off. Didn't look as bad as I expected.
I mentioned my sleep issues and she told me that is common between 2-6 weeks "or longer". She suggested i take 1/2 pain pill at bedtime since they make me drowsy. Gonna try that tonight.
My extension is still behind, but she said given how long my knee was bent (8 years), that isn't unusual and it will take longer. My flexion is great, already at 120 degrees.
Good and bad I guess.
