Earliest evidence of fire being used to cook by humans found in study of fish remains 780,000 years ago at Gesher Benot Ya’aqov in northern Israel
This predates Homo Sapiens by close to 500,000 years. Humans is actually a broad term, encompassing many species... all of which are extinct right now other than good ole H. Sap. who is all over the place.

US President Jimmy Carter freezes all Iranian assets in the United States in response to Iranian militants holding more than 50 Americans hostage.
Still one of the all time great diplomatic blunders in US history. The Iranians hated us (for really good reasons to be honest) but they did not want a hostile United States aligned against them. They also did not want to drive out American citizens working in Iran. They needed them in key technical positions.
And then Carter starting playing footsies with the exiled Shah of Iran. It all turned to crap and we've been unofficially at war with Iran for 45 years.

Walls will be next years addition.
They are waiting on me get the pipe in for the pens before they pour the floor before they can work on the walls. There is a corral in the way on the east side blocking the concrete trucks from pouring from that side.

UK won 3-2, but Oklahoma led 2-0 and dominated the first set. I watched more of it than our basketball game.

Volleyball is quickly becoming my favorite. They are great athletes and the pace is fast and every point is action packed.

A practice not only condemned here in the US but in the UK as well. The British people were getting damn tired of press gangs kidnapping folks and several MPs starting pointing out that what little advantage this gained the Royal Navy was minute compared to the cost of another war with the US.
Finally a government with common sense came into power and immediately repealed impressing. Of course a couple of days later the US declaration of war arrived because the of the communication delay.
