When I lived in North Chicago (Great Lakes Navy Base... quite a literal name because the base backed onto Lake Michigan) we would get snow in October. It would still be there in March. You can get used to it, but I don't miss that crap at all.

I've been near Chicago since the day before the front came thru and yeah it sucks arse. High yesterday was -1. Took my dog out for a walk and he walked 10' and said frick it I'm pissing on the carpet
