In all seriousness, it sounds like you might need to go to a different gastro doc.
Perhaps she was not being clear on routine probabilities or else was trying to "scare you straight" for some reason, but either way it sounds like this conversation should have taken place after the results, not before.
Just remember, as you get older like us, the general idea is to die with a bunch of shite that's wrong with you, not from a bunch of shite that's wrong with you. It'll work out.

Update: Active Celiac Disease. Lunatik has to go gluten free. Also have to get an ultrasound on the gallbaldder. Check engine light is ticking like this....

I eat pretty healthy anyways. But, yeah this will definitely help maintain my weight.

That sucks, but I agree, could've been much worse. Look at it as a new challenge that you will overcome and master the frick out of.

Well, thank God its Celiac Disease and not something far, far worse. I mean, I won't lie, going gluten free can be a giant pain depending on your existing diet. But far better to change what you eat than "well let's all hope we find a donor before you die."
Still not a big fan of your gastro doc. You don't leap right into "could you pay me right now because you might die before you make it to the checkout counter" when you can say, "it might be something we can fix with diet."
If I want to get scared to death over what could be a minor ailment I'll go to WebMD where everything is either cancer, AIDS, or cancer caused by AIDS.
