I'm pleased not to be gullible enough to fall for that useless procedure.

Yes, sir. Don't tempt me with a good time. So fresh and so clean. Look at the beautiful thing.

Is this a primary dr thing or a speciallist? Pretty much describes all my symptoms exactly.

Just got back from the gastro doc, and I'm scared shitless.
She was talking about liver transplants and all types of shite and I was like "whoa lady slow down wtf?"
Waiting on blood work.
Nervous af

A primary Dr. should be able to recognize it but you would likely need a specialist to conform. I am not saying this is what you do have, just that it might be in the running.
There are two types of Polycythemia... Polycythemia Verra is a rare type of bone cancer. You almost certainly don't have that.
The other is basically a blood disorder. That sounds a lot like what you have. One of the common symptoms is feeling exhausted all the time and low blood oxygen levels even if your lungs are fine. You're more likely to get blood clots or have a stroke.
Life expectancy is about 20 years after diagnosis... but... most people aren't diagnosed with this until their mid 50s. On average people with this die at the age of 77. The average life expectancy in the US is... 77.5. Not end of the world but something you want to stay on top of.
You treat it by treating underlying risk factors like weight, stress, and so on. So for you even if you have this it may subside once body fully adjusts to no alcohol.
Hopefully it isn't what I have but you sound like you're getting in good shape so even if it is you might have your symptoms subside soon.

Don't we still have national geographic boobies up here? There's no skin shown in those pics. I think that will hold up in Chicken Court.

Remember, they throw all sorts of worst case scenarios out there. Nobody really knows anything until the blood work comes through. Yeah, it is some scary shite and I would be more nervous than a cat in a room full of rocking chairs but at the moment this is still the guessing stage.
A true, non BS I swear, story from my personal medical history. I developed an inner ear imbalance (intense vertigo, its why I don't drive anymore) that can flare up without warning. I'd say it runs in the family but it would be more accurate to say it sprints in the family. I have no living blood relative over the age of 35 that doesn't have it. My brother got a medical discharge from the Army over it. It is annoying as hell, but not really super dangerous.
But, to be safe, I go to see the specialist who tells me... I probably have an advanced brain tumor and I should get my affairs in order. I go home and that night I have the joy of watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer's infamous "The Body" episode where Buffy's mom dies after a failed brain cancer surgery. To put it mildly I was depressed.
I get an MRI and... yep it is just the family inner ear issue. Everything is a guess until you get blood work and tests done.

That sedation ain't no joke. They told me not to drive for 24 hours. I've fallen asleep at my desk twice this morning after taking caffeine pills and drinking 3 cokes.

so did you get a 10-year pass, or 5 years?
